The same of course, goes for design. Like every other designer I experience the occasional day (or project) where it just doesn’t go as easy as you expected it to go. And while I firmly believe you can’t (and shouldn’t) lock design — or rather, being creative — into a strict 9 to 5 schedule, I have never found myself staring at the walls going “I have no ideas!”, while I’ve heard on more than one occasion designers talk about having Designers Block. Another popular one is “I can’t find any inspiration” (“Where do you get yours?!”) — and it all boils down to petty excuses really. Designers are supposed to be creative problem solvers. I can’t think of any situation where you’d tell your client you had an “off day”.
The Top 10 Writers Block Quotes
1. Writer’s block? I’ve heard of this. This is when a writer cannot write, yes? Then that person isn’t a writer anymore. I’m sorry, but the job is getting up in the fucking morning and writing for a living. ~Warren Ellis
